About

Women's Day of Service is a movement, not a day. The object is to create lasting connections between volunteers and the causes they want to serve. The first Women's Day of Service Event was held on March 25, 2017.  The next Women's Day of Service Event date is scheduled for September 23, 2017.

We have three levels of involvement. You can be a Host, an Organizer, or a Volunteer.

  • HOSTS are people who set up an event for the Women's Day of Service. Hosts are responsible for publicizing their local Women's Day of Service Events and registering as many Organizers and Volunteers as possible. Host registration is now open until July 1!

  • ORGANIZERS are people who set up activities for a particular event.  An Organizer works with a local service organization or assembles a spontaneous activity for Volunteers to participate. We are trying to focus our efforts on local causes and organizations that allow Volunteers to contribute their blood sweat and tears. While donations are always welcome to local nonprofits, the purpose of Women's Day of Service is to get our hands dirty working with each other. If you want to raise money, think of a creative way to get Volunteers involved in fundraising. Volunteers are people who want to be physically involved, not write a check. Organizer registration opens June 1!

  • VOLUNTEERS are people who want to do just that - volunteer!  Volunteers put in their time and energy during Women's Day of Service Events and spread the word about Women's Day of Service to continue to empower women around the world to make a positive impact in their communities.
